Shri Mahipal Dhanda, Hon’ble Education Minister of Haryana, has taken office with a clear vision for transforming school, technical and higher education across the state. Since assuming charge, he has prioritized a sweeping revamp of government school infrastructure — commissioning detailed audits across districts and pushing urgent repairs, new classrooms, labs, sports grounds, safe drinking water and sanitation facilities. He has also announced that all official work in his department shall be conducted exclusively in Hindi to ensure accessibility and to resonate with Haryana’s linguistic ethos.

Under his leadership, Haryana plans to be among the first states to fully implement the National Education Policy by 2025 — ahead of many other states. He is also intent on establishing 4–5 model schools in every district with modern infrastructure and coaching facilities (akin to Kota-style preparatory support) within government schools. Emphasizing both equitable access and excellence, his approach aims to transform educational institutions into strength points of opportunity for Haryana’s youth.
